MA in Relationship Counselling, BACP registered

My Story

I came to counselling following an enjoyable career in accounting and finance. As my experience included working in several European countries: Luxembourg, Spain, Belgium, Germany I believe this gives me a suitable experience to also counsel internationally. When I was nearing the end of my accounting career I decided to start doing something else. In that period my wife died, after a good marriage of 30 years duration.

I wanted to give something back to society. I also liked working with people and listening to them so I decided to get into counselling. I trained with Relate in relationship counselling and I worked with this organisation around the UK. I then did an MA in relationship counselling at Hull University and continued my professional development with other certified courses (more details here).

I worked with the Samaritans for a while, both in France and the UK. I'm also a school counsellor at a Welsh college where I work a lot with teenagers with anger and bullying issues.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), the main professional counselling body in the UK. I have an MA Diploma in Relationship Therapy from Hull University. I am also an accredited Family Mediator.

Currently I live in Cheshire, UK.
